I will be shooting a recurve with wood arrows. What's you opinion or thoughts on a broadhead for hunting bear?

Zwickey tried and true here! 65r16 skimos have put several down with my longbow.
But really, any strong, sharpen to the point heads will work. Golden rule...keep them razor sharp!

How do I decide what grain of broadhead to get?
-
Radical archery design any of them will work great. Took out zebra with the 100grn madman heads

Old bear razor heads, Eskimos , woodsman, all good affordable choices. You got to start with a tuned arrow and that Broadhead has to be sharp. Really sharp. There is a lot of info on trad hunting and shooting at the push podcast. Are you looking at spring bears or fall?

For traditional bows I really like a heavy broadhead. 175 grain. Perfect for bear over bait.

Whatever flies well out of your bow. The difference in the weight of various broadheads is minimal when considering the overall weight of the arrow. Good flight and accuracy is more important.
