What a load of horse poo >:(

That's hilarious :chuckle:. Why did they choose year 15-17, because it's already such low numbers across the board? They should reveal the dwindling numbers from year 2000-2017.

What a load of horse poo >:(
You can say that again. :bash:

I just sent the clown that wrote this an e-mail telling him to quit putting out false information.

So all of the guys who didn't see anywhere near the numbers of elk and deer up there this year must've been lying because the WDFW wouldn't lie about wolves, surely.

Must be they are turning vegetarian and got a taste of grass and other plant life.
Just like the story they only seek out the old, sick & injured.
Tell us another one Santa Claus.
I don't believe much that comes out of these people's mouth.

Anyone notice there's no source?

No source and no press release from WDFW...
Some serious investigative journalism

Spokane tag, that is just embarrassing

SPOKANE, Wash. — The growing population of wolves in eastern Washington state does not appear to be hurting the populations of deer, elk and other ungulates.
A report issued this week by the state Department of Fish and Wildlife looked at ungulate populations between fiscal 2015 and 2017.
The report concluded that none of the ungulate populations in the assessment appeared to show clear signs of being limited by predation from wolves.
Ungulates include elk, moose, deer and bighorn sheep.
Gray wolves were hunted to extinction in Washington early in the past century. But the animals started migrating into the state in the early 2000s from Idaho and Canada. The first wolf pack was documented by DFW in 2008.

Wonder if this is the assessment?

I thought they didn't do assessment of elk in the northeast? Moose seem to be infected with wolf worms. Deer are probably just assessed by harvest stats.

This guy is a joke. Pretty obvious how he is misleading the public with that crap. Theres a reason he doesn't add the link per the source because most that don't have a clue will take his article at face value! :bash:

"It doesn’t surprise me because of what I see on the ground,” said Tim Coleman, executive director of the Kettle Range Conservation Group.
Coleman, also a member of WDFW’s wolf advisory group, lives in northeast Washington and said he spent a lot of time camping in the region this summer.
“I’m not seeing much of a change in the ungulate population,” Coleman said. “The two (wolves and ungulates) have lived together for millennium.”
Yeah real big surprise there. A wolf lover saying he spends alot of time in the woods and doesn't see a problem. Of course he doesn't.

WDFW Game Division Manager Anis Aoude said that the study was an internal report and not publishing it earlier was an oversight.
Does anyone actually believe this bull sh!t?
Political move putting this out on a Friday as well, it's not by accident.

Their data is collected from hunting reports but hunters are targeting legal bucks, not fawns or smaller dows which are more likely to be eaten by wolves.
