for those of you using the kilo range finders, are they able to go low yardage for archery hunting as well? i lost my bushnell g force that did both long range and short yardage for archery hunting. i have been looking at the kilo 1250yd since they seem to have good reviews but i would like one that is capable of doing both. or should is just get another bushnell?

I have the 1250 and it works at low range too.
-
I think I have ranged a low as 5 or 6 yards, maybe a hair shorter once. KILO2200LRH
-
thank you!

I was going to say I've seen 8 yards from mine. Can't recall for sure.

I have a 1250 and have ranged down to 5yds.
Here is a link to Midway and a sale they have. Turn around and sell the scope.

Holy crap, that's a smoking deal.

I have my Sig KILO 2200 sitting right next to me and messing with it the closest I can get it to read is 5.3yds.
-
Mine is accurate at short yardage. Its consistantly within 1 yard on light and dark targets as well.

I use my kilo 2000 for archery and long range shooting. It will range to single digits.

same here
used it at the archery range and while out archery hunting, ranged accurately for long range stuff as well.
i was surprised how compact the thing was when i got it too, much slimmer in profile than my old redfield

I have the kilo 2000, I got it for archery hunting and it worked great. Ranges anything that you want but in the brush the beam seems wide so sometimes its hard to range through windows or if there is tall grass.
The main issue that I had with this unit was in snow. I hunted Montana rifle season this year and at 0 degrees it froze and I couldn't get it to range anything. I combatted this by keeping it inside my shirt.
-
My 2000 reads down to 4.9 yards consistently.
-
Ditto on the 2000. Seems to work great.
-
Thank you for all the feedback!
-
One more +1, the Kilo2k gets it done. I have used mine from 6yrs to 1380yrds. The latter by hand in the snow, so the units have the speed and power to get it done even in less than optimal conditions.
-
Does it do the angle compensation for shooting up or down hill?
-
Yes, but on long range stuff I would use the linear range and angle display mod to plug those into a computer. For bow, it does that shoots like mode out to whatever distance you can manage to range.
-
I've got the 2400.... 4-2400 yards no issues. 2400 needs to be good conditions though. less than 2000 no issues of any kind other than hand shake...
And lets be honest... who ranges inside 15 yards :chuckle:
