Title: 1000 yrd bullet trajectory on iphone
Post by: Magnum_Willys on January 03, 2018, 11:26:31 AM
Was surprised I could see the bullet path on pics this morning. 1000 yards, 300 gr Smk at 2850.     24 moa but quite an angle.

Only got one shot on steel before target malfunction - first video.

These are near misses on clay:

Yea looks different from what I would expect - Spotting scope just behind shooter with phonescope.   Bullets dropping from above but camera is shooter level.

@h20hunter

Bring back any memories for you? Wasn't 1000 yards, but 172 is close enough.

His bullet was also twice the size of our largest one. Looked like it smacked the bajeezus out of it.

I'm not sure it matters with the iPhone they still record like that if I'm not mistaken. Maybe the newer ones are different.

O

I'm not an iPhone guy so I'll trust your word on that.  I know I gotta turn mine sideways or I get those bars.

Yea I'll try that.... was just making sure I could spot shots - can spot my own at 25 power but miss one once in awhile.   At 42 power have to use the iphone.
