Had this one sit on the skyline, watching me at about 200 yards. Not a shot I would take, so I tried waiting him out. I finally tried approaching him at an angle, hoping he would come down from the top. I realized he wanted to get past me, and didn't want to retreat.
Finally, as I moved left on him, he went back right, and down from the skyline, on my side. As he went, I tried to parallel his direction, waiting for him to stop, so he reversed again, back to the top.
We went through this twice, and the second go 'round, I managed to get him stopped, and closed the deal.
Ya just never know how they will react, but this was a first for me. Apparently he had never been hunted (private ground), and was probably used to seeing farm workers in the fields, handling irrigation hand lines.

Yeah, I will....just busy hunting and skinning right now. Fur starts to go bad in a week or two, but I will get after it sooner, if hunting weather goes bad.

Nice fur on the one you have down.
I got a kick out of how the pic below fit the title of this thread. Hand held camera in fading light made for a blurry photo.
