When does everyone think the Muleys in central WA seem to drop antlers during an average year/winter?

What areas? Like the Entiat where they chase them on snowmobiles? Or are you talking the Methow, hold it there is no deer left there. :chuckle:

Typically we see them starting about now, but peak is late February into early March. Saw a big bodied buck this weekend, that had dropped, but saw several others still carrying. I think much of it depends on their local environment and stress levels.

I have seen the first mule deer bucks drop antlers in Chelan County as early December 23 and later than January 10. Most bucks drop late January to late February. I've rarely seen bucks still packing antlers in mid March, and the latest ever was a Douglas County buck across from Chelan Falls that still had a 3 point antler April 7. That one is the only buck I've seen in northcentral Washington with antlers past mid March.

Sadly this about covers it all.

I'm heading out this weekend. Hopefully I can turn a few up.
