Boy does my 2 year old get excited to put her hands on deer horns. She has ever since she started walking. She was proud of her great-grandpa and cousin tonight. Not the biggest bucks but sure will fill the tag and freezer. My grandpa doesn't hunt quite as hard as he use to but still loves to get out and put bucks on the ground. Not too many more years and there will be another generation knocking them down (my daughter). I cant wait to spend time in the field with my kids as they grow up.

sweet, just the pic's i need to see.
mine's 5 weeks old today and just came back from her first deer hunting trip to her gramma's house.
i can't wait for the day we take her hunting. my good buddies boy will be hunting with us next year for the first time. he'll be 10 then.
congrats on a beautiful little girl.

Thats great I got my daughter into hunting, she has her own little starter bow and she loves shooting it, she also loves being in the woods seeing deer and anything else. She also loves fishing, she got upset last year when a catfish busted the tip of her pole, I thought it was funny because she was getting so upset.

I get the same thing. Isn't it AWESOME. Love those smiles. Mine has a pact with her mother that she can't hang a deer head in her room until she shoots it. She WILL hold her mother to it.

you're just using that pic to make that rack look bigger.
:chuckle:

We'll see when your new little girl gets big enough to get her hands around a set of antlers. ;)

Thanks for the replies. Kids are great. And they do make the racks look bigger :chuckle:
It was pretty funny, my grandpa asked my daughter how big his buck was and she said. "umm, it just a little one". I was laughing so hard. I have taught her when someone askes how big of a buck daddy is going to shoot she says, "a huge one" and she sticks her arms out wide. I think my grandpa was looking for that remark from her. We all got a good laugh.

Great pics guys....but that second one is awsome.

This makes me excited to get some long tine in my baby daughters hands, my son already loves them.

Boy that meat in the backround of the 2nd picture sure does look good

I took a buddie of mine out to fill his tag last night. His 6 year old got to tag along. He loved it! When we got back to the house my daughter had to climb up in the truck and look at the buck. She wanted a picture with daddy and the buck. She gets so excited!! I cooked some backstraps yesterday and she loves venison. She calls it "deer snakes", she has a hard time with her t's.
Here is the little 2X3 with eyegurds. Pretty stout body though.

Slinger with all the luck youve had hookin up with deer, hopefully it will pay off for you with your late tag! Your buddy who got the deer last night, did he shoot it or sneek up on it and knee it in the face? :dunno: :P. Hopefully I'll get to tag along with you in November for a day or two.

That kind of excitement sure fuels the heart.

MuleySniper, It was awesome. I got the deers attention and he snuck up and gave it an atomic elbow drop and then kneed it right in the chin. :boxin: No joke he did take a little ride when he slit his throat though. :beatdeadhorse: Anyway it was fun. I really hope you can come stay a night or two with me in Cle Elum in Nov for my hunt. I am so pumped. Actually maybe you could get a motel. No, I have dealt with you before, but you know I fight fire with fire. :rockin:

Congratulations, I hope you get her hunting in a few years. Some of my funest times with my daughter have been while hunting.
