Title: McCall things to do in late May
Post by: Naches Sportsman on February 02, 2018, 10:04:27 PM: I'll be taking classes in McCall for 3 weeks in May. I've started to do a little bit of research on things to do. I'll have 4 days off and one overnight available. Also looking at stuff to do in the evenings.

I realize late May might not be a good time to fly fish the local rivers and creeks, but does anyone have any advice on places to check out?

Also any good drainages to take a hike up?

I want to spend my free time doing cool things and seeing cool places.

Haven't ruled out the possibility of looking for elk and deer. Just won't have a use for it. I won't have extended weekends to hunt that far down the next few falls.

Rafting- checked that off last May. It was a hoot.

Seven Devils- I may try to explore up there. I'll be taking skis as they may come in handy.

Cascade Lake- Don't have a boat out west but haven't ruled it out.

Shed hunting- I can do that every day all summer long.

Gold creek hot springs is pretty cool, can get real busy on the weekends.

If you want to go for a drive there’s some great fs roads to bounce around on up out of new meadows. It’s cool up there, little crowded for my taste but we usually end up there a few times a year anyway
