German Shepard.... :chuckle: wife saw one down by St. Helens a couple years ago and made the statement “I just saw a cougar, or a German Shepherd with a long smooth tail just jumped up on a log!”.... I believe she saw a cougar!!

My 18th month-old girl saw that first picture and said, "Kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty." So, there's your answer. :) :chuckle: :chuckle:

Ask WDFW, they'll tell you honestly what it is....

Yes its a cat, cougar, mountain lion(whatever your term is) I have seen a bunch in the Methow over the last 5 years, these things are deer killers. I know a lot of people are worried about wolves(which we as hunters should be) but I,ll tell ya, these things are killing a TON of deer folks, they are machines as far as picking off deer( 1 per week, per cat!), found over 20 half buried kills in a couple areas in the Methow this last hunting season. Not good, they are wiping out that herd and have been for 20 years plus... :twocents:

thanks guys !
i know that it's a lion.
i visit other forums in the southeast that are just confirming lions . every now and then someone posts a pic claiming it's a lion but is clearly a tabby cat. knowing that folks here know the difference was curious as to responses. the one pic where the cat is going away would be instantly dismissed as a domestic down south. just a fun comparison of local knowledge.
