Title: Rugar American Hunter?
Post by: SkookumHntr on March 02, 2018, 01:59:03 PM: Been interested in this gun, more then likely chambered in 243 for my daughters deer gun/ my predator gun! Any reviews good or bad? Seems priced ok!

Post by: Wetwoodshunter on March 02, 2018, 03:42:46 PM: Good choice, my buddy's daughter Leah shoots on in 7-08 she put a whitetail in the dirt at 300 this year with one shot. She also dropped a blacktail but that was much closer.

She likes that it's synthetic as her last rifle the stock would swell up in the rain. No hesitation for the price new its hard to beat, should work great.

Wife has one in .243 and load development took 30 mins. 1/2-3-4” all day with 95 grain Nosler BTs

Post by: greenhead_killer on March 02, 2018, 07:25:53 PM: I just bought one in 6.5 c a few weeks ago. Brownells sells a nice magpul stock of you want to upgrade. I have yet to shoot mine but looking at reviews, very solid shooter right out of the box.
