He was not far from the road and didn't spook until my brothers bike was within 20 yards. He jumped the creek, ran a log and then I got the video camera on him.

What GMU?

Solid evidence

Nice footage. What GMU if you don't mind revealing it?
-
Doesn't look like he's missed too many venison meals.

GMU 328

Correct, but it didn't affect the deer or elk population according to WDFW, so we are good.

Nice footage. Unfortunately, that's a rare sight that will become more and more common

Cool video thanks for sharing

Are you going to show this to the WDFW, not that I think it will make difference, but at least they couldn't say it wasn't there.

It'll be here, it's not going anywhere, and rest assured....they'll see it here if nothing else.

Thanks, very different attitude than a coyote

Wow. Cool video. I had a game campic of one about 4-5 years ago in 328. They are there no doubt.
-
So they stop broadside after a little whistle. Hmmm.........
-
Wow, cool footage. Thanks for sharing. So frustrating that they are moving into that area. Lots of available food for them.

I reported it, its not the 1st time we've seen wolves in the general area and there is a lot more than one.
-
Nice capture! We saw one similar to that 6-7 yrs ago on the 328 side of Nanuem Ridge.
-
Had that been me it would've been 1 dead coyote. 8)

Glad OP had more restraint than me... might not have been a video... Might have been more like.. wolf? what wolf?
-
Good thing your camera battery went dead "right before the gun shot"! :chuckle: That was a coyote standing directly in front of the wolf, wasn't it?
-
GMU 328
Saw their tracks in the same unit in the fresh snow this last week. 4 if them. One booner set. Cleared the bulls I was watching off their ridge. ☹️
-
Next time get a better rest. :chuckle:

You don't seem em standing like that where they are allowed to be hunted/trapped. Rare VID footage, thanks for sharing.
-
The Teanaway pack wanders back and forth through there.
-
Soooo...any suggestions on where these coyotes were? I'd love to "film" them to. ;)
-
Some body give plat the coordinates, quick

Fresh tracks again the past few days... along with one impressive set of cougar tracks! Those poor elk! 🙈
No kills located... aside from an older elk carcass with the antlers sawed off. Lots of ridgetop traveling for those dogs though. Sure would make a pretty photo, Plat. 😝

:yeah: get um plat
-
Who doesn't like sunset walks thru the forest, the cool mountain breeze whipping thru your hair and a nice coyote or cougar (either cougar works :chuckle: ) pelt to keep you warm.

Does anybody have the map that shows where wolves are fed delisted in WA.? I've seen it on here before and when I searched (not very hard) the USFS website I didn't see it.

Wolves with that color coat are usually from the Teanaway pack. Last I checked there were 11 total in that pack.
They hang out in 335 and 328. I've seen them up in the Navaho Peak basin, Miller Peak basin, and have heard that they even end up in the ALW during the summer. They are in 328 most of the winter and early spring according to the bio in charge of tracking the collared pack members.
