That's awesome

Hunting will actually help Grizzly populations. As in Alaska harvesting some of the large bears (Trophy Hunting) will decrease the mortality rate amongst smaller bears. For every bear harvested by a human 33+ are killed by other bears, usually larger ones..

I'd sure like Idaho alot better if they'd send me my tags lol i paid over 4 weeks ago and after talking with them, no one has a clue where they are. For replacements they want me to get a notarized document signed and sent over to them. Honestly rubs me the wrong way after dumping over 500 bucks into tags and licenses

I want to say I saw it on the upcoming meeting agenda in Wyoming as well.

So they're proposing for but one (1) grizzly bear this fall???
Of the three states where the Greater Yellowstone population segment of grizzly bears reside (Idaho, Montana, & Wyoming), Idaho has the smallest number of grizzly bears.
Wyoming has the vast majority of the bears in that population segment and they are considering a grizzly bear hunt this fall as well. If it goes forward as planned, hunters could take up to 24 bears, but only 12 could be in the hunting zones in the northwest section of the state where most of the grizzly bears in the state live.
