One buddy wants to go hunt area one, and the other lives down by Boise. I see DAV bear tags online which I qualify for and I already sent in my paperwork, but there aren't any areas on them. Does that mean I choose the area after I buy them?

you shouldn't have to choose an area unless you are looking to buy one of the discounted tags. if DAV stands for " disabled veteran" you get resident pricing on everything anyway so just by a bear tag and your good to go.

Your bear tag is statewide...unless you buy one of the reduced/discounted tags and then some of those are for certain areas. I buy the DAV tag and it's good statewide.

Thanks guys, that clears it up.
