This site has been helpful for me.  You can use the map and find a peak near where you are going and select it.  Then you get a 6 day forecast for the peak at three different altitudes.

Snow in the shady areas below 3000. Above 3500 snow all over. Seeing birds break up a little bit still some huge flocks hanging out.  Forecast looks like a mess for the opener. I'm thinking 2nd weekend will be better imo. South 117

It was snowing yesterday at my house, but melted as it hit the ground, I'm under 2000 feet. They forecast up to 6 inches in some mountain areas but I don't think that much fell. Mostly rain in the forecast, they say snow possible. Froze hard here last night.

Very sloppy out there.  Birds are not moving anymore than they absoulutely have to and the only happy people are the tow truck drivers waiting to pull out anyone trying to get very far off of the main roads. Unless your days off are set in cement I would certainly hold off on this opener, especially if you're tent camping. Forecast is not encouraging for the next few days and its too long of a hunt to fight the stuff forecast for this weekend.

Of course us locals are going to tell you to hold off every weekend until we fill our tags.  Then we will tell you how awesome it was.   :tung: :chuckle:  Seriously though, I would hold off as well.

More rain has melted more snow, each day access is getting a little better. We've seen numerous toms out covering country looking for hens and have seen toms higher on the mountains in some areas. My advice would be to plan to hunt low to mid elevation at first, there is still snow on northern exposure at mid elevations and snow covering most of the mountains in high elevations. Flocks seem to be healthy, we haven't seen sign of much winter kill, I don't think this winter was hard on the turkey population in NE WA, it should be a good turkey season. Good luck to everyone.
