Title: Where’s them bears?!

Post by: waoutdoorsman on May 04, 2018, 02:44:29 PM: My dad and I will be heading to the NE corner on Sunday for a week, hopefully we will have some pics to post. I’ve been wondering where the bear down posts were at myself seems like the weather here on the west side has been good as of late.

Having a tag reduces one’s odds of seeing bears. Right? :chuckle:

Post by: archeryfreak on May 06, 2018, 10:53:43 PM: We had a great weekend in the South Blues. Saw 4 bears in 2 days. Great weather & lots of animals growing new headgear. Looks like the warm weather is definitely bringing the bears out! All I can say is I am out of shape and those hills make you earn and respect every step!! Gotta love it though, Back at it in a couple of weeks and hope to get our tags filled.

So far it is REALLY sloooow. Bears are barely hitting the baits and I have a couple of houndsmen friends that said the bears are barely moving......not sure what they are waiting on.

Post by: Britt-dog on May 08, 2018, 09:35:55 AM: As of Friday IDFG in CDA had only checked in one bear. More snow up the N fork of the CDA than I have ever seen this late. The side hills are bare but still a lot in the lower shaded areas and roads. Everything seems a little later this year.
