Recommend any places to camp or to avoid in the unit (as far as camping). Don't need a campground exactly, I am self sufficient.

I can put you on bear about XX miles (not far) from Monumental if your interested PM me. You would be walking in 1.5 to 3 miles but it is bear heavy and the pack out would be down hill, now with that said I did shoot a 6'2 just .6 miles in a few years back.Pm won't work at the moment. I have to admit, this area of WA is pretty nice. Maybe it's because everything is still green from spring? I always thought it was hot, dusty and brown. So far, I'm wrong!
Lots of bears on the monumental area. I was just up there this week. I really like the area below the lookout both east and west. good luck :tup:

I arrived in the huck about 12 noon today, no bears no sign. Saw one pile that was a few weeks old. I was in beary country all day, just haven’t found them. I’ll be around until Tuesday if I haven’t tagged out, Brown ford with a blackish quadGood luck! I tagged out last evening and am headed home to spend the long weekend with wife and kids!
