Any idea on Oregon draw dates?
-
June 22nd
-
They are usually within a few days of washington so 15-20 of june would be my guess
-
The commission meeting to adopt final tag numbers doesn't end until June 8th. They promise results by June 20th. So sometime between those two dates. My guess is June 14th.
-
Sounds like seed numbers will be drawn monday the 4th. Last year they were drawn on the 7th and the draw results came up on them 15th. So my guess would be around June 12th.
-
Last year they were posted 3 or 4 days before the 15th.
-
Any update here? Idea on when they will post....?
-
I didn't pick in the poll, but today should be the day. I went back and checked last years emails with my hunting buddy's. It was 07:43 am that I reported to them the WDFW site was back up and results were rolling in at that time. That was 07:43 am on 15 June 2017, a THURSDAY..... so today it must be.
Of course I was headed straight to the Losers Lounge, which is why I opened it early this year to get it cleaned up and get a good seat at the bar, I hear we hired a new winch this year....??
App deadline was later this year than last year, hence why I voted for next Thursday June 21st in the poll....
Then again I thought today was the day for Oregon, and that guess looks to be going down in flames....so what do I know....
Oregon posted on facebook the results would be up on the 20th.
-
Oregon has had June 20th posted as the results date on their Controlled Hunts page since January. The Facebook post is not new information, and just re-iterating that. Then again, here is the specific wording from their website:
"Hunter results are always available by June 20, but sometimes results are available online at the My Hunter Information page before then."
(under Step 5 section: https://myodfw.com/articles/how-apply-controlled-hunt )
Oregon usually posts before the official date.....Guaranteed by June 20th, but possibly sooner.
-
Probably on the 19th. :twocents:

What is everybody hoping for drawing in Oregon this year?
I have a realistic shot to draw my Oregon antelope tag. I don't have a real chance on elk and deer permits, but my buddy is in with 21 points on elk and I promised to be his Sherpa....so if he draws that will be one heck of a hunt. Of course, random draw and low odds on the OIL goat and sheep as a non-resident, but you never know. Otherwise, it'll just be OTC deer/elk tags near my cabin in Oregon.
-
Already have a any bull tag and a any buck tag!!! No draw needed....

put in for rifle elk with one point and zero chance to draw but good with that. Didn't intend to hunt but building points to draw a unit that takes 2-3 points

Your buddy will draw. I think there's only two tags that 21 pts wouldn't guarantee a tag. I'm assuming it's a NE tag?

In for sheep and goat!

For those top two NE units, 1 non-resident tag goes to the outfitter and 1 to a non-resident. The Oregon Tags prediction for Wenaha #2 is 3 guys would likely put in with 21 pts and 2 in with 22...going after 1 tag. And for Mt Emily #2 it's 1 with 21 and 1 with 20 going after 1 tag. And the single non-resident Walla Walla #2 tag goes to non-residents this year (as the outfitters got it last year), which is predicting two guys with 20 points would have put in for. It really depends on where those guys with 22 and 21 pts actually applied for first choices on (vs. what Oregon Tags were predicting).
I'm brainfarting which unit he said he put in for this year. I know he put in for Wenaha last year.

Well, I can help you figure out where one of the guys with 21 elk points put in. I put in for points. I want to get some health problems squared away and get back in better shape before I cash in my points. Good luck. As for antelope I hunted Juniper a couple years ago and may be of help there if anyone draws that.

Muzzy Blacktail and Points for Elk.

Over the years it seems like Oregon likes to post the results on a Friday afternoon, giving the unsuccessful hunters a weekend to cry in their beer and get over their bitter disappointment before having a chance to call on Monday morning to bitch about the draw. So I'm guessing the results will show up some time today.

I think so as well. If I remember correctly, they came out on the 15th last year.

Called yesterday and the ladybsaid mid next week. I hope i pull one of those premium hunts.
Their new system sure makes it hard to check our status...
-
They are always going to point to June 20th when you ask, but it has NEVER been that late.
-
It doesn’t look like it’s going to happen tonight.
-
Sounds like they're serious about the 20th this year.

ODFW updated on Facebook: Oregon has completed the draw and are reviewing results before certifying and posting final results.
So unless they find too many issues, should post by tomorrow, with a slight chance of posting later today.
