Title: Anyone fish Costa Rica?
Post by: MisplacedAlaskan on June 19, 2018, 08:36:51 PM
My parents are spending January in Costa Rica and I’m thinking about heading down there for a week towards the end of the month to get some sun and do some fishing. I’d like to catch yellowfin tuna and dorado. I don’t need a monster tuna, just like to get into some so I can eat those delicious buggers  :)

I’m open to recommendations and suggestions on locations and charter outfits if anyone’s had someone they were really happy with.

Quepos is a fishing town. Don't know about the tuna, but do extremely well on billfish. good luck.

I was there in Feb. and just went out on a panga for a few hours because I was in a remote area, caught some bonita and mackerel and saw some whales.  January is a good time to go. Mark coleman with all rivers and saltwater charters has a business down there now. you should look him up.
