I plan on hunting the last 10 days of the season.
-
Be flexible if you can! The rut was dead last year after the first half of the late hunt :twocents: at least in the sinlahiken
-
I would only hunt the last two hours of the last day, everyone knows that’s when the biggest bucks show up.🦌
-
That’s my regular season unit. Hit and miss.

Get a map and get out there and scout. Lots of bucks in that unit pretty average but with some work you can get away from roads and find a hanger
-
That's the plan. I have hunted mule deer in most of the units over there, just not Gardner. Thanks.

Was in there on that tag 2 years ago you shouldn't have an issue if you hunt hard. In a day and a half we didnt see a ton of bucks we did see lots of deer watched a 34inch monster get shot and an hour later we dropped the buck in my profile pic. From what i seen in our short time i would be passing up a huge 3 if you only have 10 days. We should have held out as the bucks were rutting pretty good but that and snow will be the deciding factor.

Good to hear. I have the whole season off but from what I have heard wait for the snow. If it snows and it is early, I will spend more than 10 days. Thanks.

Hit me up if you come over scouting. Know a few spots. I saw throttle jockeys buck a few times that season. Nice buck.

Nope. Met you that day right after we got the big one and you guys walked over to see it.

That was super cool sitting, on the ridge watching all that unfold, it was like watching a movie in real life. After it went down i told the old man i have to go look i think its bigger than we think it is.

Hope for snow.
had the tag in 2014, not a stich of snow in the high country in twisp river basin, spent most of the time hunting in the mid range elevatioin. At least it was very cold, temps in 20's. Even hunted low country for 3 days, nothing but small frames 2's & 3's.
choices were few, filled tag on 9th day of 10 day hunt...but no trophy 170+ as I had hoped.
A friend drew this tag next season and tagged a buck in the upper 170 range. 6" snow in the same area as I hunted before. As a spotter, saw over 10 bucks deemed worthy.
