could be worse though if you can't help out because of your own tags though. I'll be hunting on a quality tag during sheep and I'll be in CO during the moose :'(

That is so cool! I drew my first goat tag in 1972 at 14. My dad and I have had some really great hunts in the intervening years, but at 80 years old, if you asked him today, he'd probably say that was still his most memorable one. Enjoy it to it's fullest!!

I picked up a special OIL Moose tag for unit 70 in Idaho. Its a special permit for Disabled Veterans, only 5 issued statewide, but you get to pick species, GMU , AND IT 's FREE! Believe it or not I also was drawn for a Wyoming cow elk tag through Wyoming Disable Hunters, a fantastic organization. As luck would have it, the Wyoming hunt is scheduled for the first week of October, right in the middle of the Idaho moose rut, so it looks like I'll be leaving Olympia in late September for quite a stretch, and hopefully returning with a trailer full of meat. All of this following a 10 year diet of tag soup in WA. What a turnaround...... :IBCOOL:

Yeah, now that I feel more like a hunter and less like a hiker with a firearm, I need to be more active on this forum!

Thank you for your service and best of luck on both tags! You have the potential need for an extra freezer!

Now thats a pack out! Awesome! Congrats!
-
What in the world was the reason for packing it out whole?🤔
Nice looking ram.👍
-
:yeah: :dunno: did he want a full body and was unsure of how to skin it? Lot of unnecessary work if you ask me. But to each his own as it's a nice ram, congrats to the hunter.

No idea but makes for a pretty unique picture.

It does bring a kind of uniqueness to it for a non hunter to be amazed of the process and determination.
-
Congrats to the hunter, wish we could see the horns better :brew

Any bull that's got 6 on each side is decent in that unit. Just run an arrow and throw that son of a b.... over your shoulder and take a selfie. :chuckle:

And Plat will have a beer and some firesticks waiting at the truck for you.🤣

Few reasons on the pack out
1. Shot him in that field. Didn’t have a tarp and didn’t want meat to get dirty
2. Had my pack frame and only wanted to make one trip
3. Had to get some good pictures with him so cutting him wasn’t an option
4. Why not throw A whole ram on your back and pack him 2 miles :dunno: :chuckle:

Great ram clouse22 and nice work getting him out whole   More pics and story?
-
Beautiful ram clouse22! Great work and I bet the meat is tasty! Had a buddy who would carry a field dressed buck over his shoulders, said it wasn't bad as long as it stayed stable and didn't shift.
-
Got it done 09/30/2018
-
That’s a beauty, congrats!
-
Congrats!! I was wondering when you were going to shoot one you have been milking that OIL permit long enough :chuckle:
