I was hesitant to even post this or not as many of you already know of my tremendous fortune pulling a Peaches Ridge Muzzy tag. Every year some lucky SOB comes on Hunt Wa saying he not only pulled one, but two quality tags in WA. Give me a break, right? Well, this year I’m glad to report that I’m “that guy” and will gladly wear that hat. So, not only did I draw the Peaches but I also have a Unit 29 S Idaho bull tag! Oh crap, I also got drawn for a Swakane late modern permit!
I’ve been truly fortunate with all the help I’ve received in the past and most recently in the Elk forum by complete strangers. Can’t say thanks enough, can’t wait for this fall of a lifetime.
I know the drill on this hunt; hope for snow, have chains ready, 170”+ is a unicorn, etc. Looking forward to trying my best to find that unicorn come Nov! My plan is to hit it hard Nov 15th - 20th. Looking forward to making awesome memories! Truly humbled.

That's awesome, Congrats :IBCOOL: Sounds like your gonna have a busy season  Good luck
-
Dang! Congrats on the draw!! In 2014 I drew peaches and Entiat so I was that guy too!!
-
I’d brag too! Congrats! The swakane is pretty slow the first two weeks. You won’t miss anything. A 170 is a very achievable goal.

Thanks! I have 6 full days committed to this hunt so we’ll see what we can turn up

oh and if you can’t fit the peaches tag in I’ll be glad to take it off your hands :chuckle:. Didn’t draw with 11. I’ve got two or three bulls in mind.

I’ll keep that in mind :chuckle:
If it makes any difference I had 13 pts in each category, so at least I didn’t have just a couple :dunno:

glad someone with some points got a tag. I drew peaches 4 years ago with 7.

I’ve had the swakane tag a couple times over the years. Never even got a dusting of snow either time. 👎. I’ve hunted it it archery with snow. What a difference snow makes in this unit! The more the better!

That’s my understanding. Hopefully some will hit high early on to get them moving. I’ll make the most of it regardles, can only control a few things in a hunt and weather surely isn’t one of them.

This is going to be an epic season for you, Congratulations

:yeah: You won’t forget this season anytime soon!

I had swakane a few years ago. If you need any tips just holler.
-
Congrats on your draws! Enjoy your season!

Thanks guys! Dream season on paper. I’m going to give each 3 hunts my all and hope by the end I come out with positive memories, still a job and avoid divirce court.
-
Congrats on the tags.
Good to hear you're giving them all 100%. marriage and a job are overrated anyways😆
-
Steep territory...Good Luck!

Congrats on pulling this tag; it is a great hunt.
Looking at your dates, make sure to leave yourself enough time before the general late archery season opens (Nov 21). Come the 21st its going to be a zoo--you wouldn't believe how many "archery road hunters" mob the Swakane all face-painted and ready to leap from the truck, sprint after a buck, and lob some arrows at it. Avoid the zoo at all costs :chuckle:
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Late modern ends on the 20th he won't have to worry about those darn archery road hunters.
