Title: Sockeye Fishing in Tri-Cities
Post by: Fatherof4 on July 03, 2018, 08:10:02 AM: Anyone dialed in yet, Sockeye opened the first of July, I've been out twice and got skunked, thought I had it figured out a couple of years ago when it was open, but now not so much. We anchored up and threw spin n glos and wedding ring type lures off droppers for them tipped with coon shrimp and got nothing. I have had luck trolling for them at Brewster, is anyone trolling for them in Tri-Cities?

Post by: RockChuck on July 03, 2018, 08:24:55 AM: I trolled for them on the first at bateman but no luck, had one on for a second.. saw 2 caught. they seem to be pretty tough to get to bite through here because they are on a mission to get to Brewster and lk Wenatchee.

Tough conditions last time I went below Wannapum a few years back, heard they were doing better there also, gotta go upriver to Brewster area maybe after the 16th, used to be one of my favorite areas to fish.
