Title: Savage MSR
Post by: X-Force on July 03, 2018, 10:13:00 PM: I know about nothing when it comes to AR platform rifles. I was just wondering if savages MSR will accept uppers from other manufacturers?

I have an MRS and my buddy is trying to talk me into getting a 6.5 Grendel upper.

The upper and lower will fit (as in the pins will lock in) but you may need to swap a couple things internally like the buffer and your mag followers to make it function properly but besides that you should be good (of course do research and verify). this is one reason the 300 Black Out got some of its popularity, its literally JUST the barrel, everything else is same same.
