Title: Cheney / Spokane Area deer hunting
Post by: Connor on July 11, 2018, 04:03:10 PM
Moving to Cheney in September and have never really hunted the area for deer. Any advice on a unit to focus on for either whitetail or mule deer and a somewhat specific area to hunt?

Research small state land chunks, feel free to hunt, and wdfw reservation to hunt program.  The other option is to head a hour to two north to the national Forest and larger state lands in 121, 117, 111, and so forth.  Hunting the rolling wheat fields is awesome however late season is where it is at and not much to that south of i-90.

Head north out of spokane. Good hunting all over up in any of those units and lots of public land

I’m a pretty new hunter but from that area.  Most of that area is private but you can get a permit from the timber company.  There are some spots around Mt Spokane but I think they get crowded.  I travel further north but it makes day scouting more work.
