Title pretty much says it. My wife got an old Savae 30-30 from her dad. Tried getting a weaver side mount figuring two hole was better than none, but the holes are not wide enough. Also the straight up ring attachment from my old Model 94 puts the scoope too far over the bolt.
Any ideas out there? Thanks

it might be an old williams side mount that is drilled for. Can you get a measurement on the holes. I think I have an old williams side mount with the rings that go over the center of the barrel but they are high.

Thanks, LD,
It appears to be a tiny bit over 29/32" or 0.91" from center to center. I don't have my calipers handy.

They are pretty close to that. Here is some pictures. Tell me if you think it will work.
Is this rifle a bolt action or a lever action?

Here is a picture I found on gunbroker. Looks different.

Looks like it might work. Couldn't find anything on Numerich's. I think it is the early 340 model (bolt) as there are weaver and b-squares for the 340 but not this one....
I'm trying to get this workin as my wife drew a multi deer tag this year. Her dad never got a deer with it, they were more beer (spelled correctly :)) hunting than anything....
Thanks, Ed

Well if you want to pm me an address I'll ship this over to you and if it works good and if it doesn't send it back. It is really light being alum. so it shouldn't cost much to ship.

I had a 340 for years gave it to my brother. A very accurate rifle. The picture of the side mount that Lazydrifter shows is the one you need. Your rifle should already be tappped for that mount. I can't remember who makes the mount, but they are still around.
