After a long wait I finally picked up my new rifle, I want to thank HCA and Mike Johnson for the barrel and to Benchmark for putting it all together. Now the fun begins. 28 Nosler with a Lone Peak Ti action.

Great looking rifle  Is that an Atlas bipod?
-
nice looking rig....what bullet and powder do you plan to start with?

180gr Hornady ELD-M over Retumbo. With a few other possibilities

Turned out a beauty👍

Looks great! Game Scout stock? Yea Benchmark has rep for being a year backlog but worth it.
-
What does that setup weigh?

Are you planning on sharing some grouping results on this thread?

Stockys VG2 long range carbon fiber.
Great choice on the stock. I've got my eye on one of those for an upcoming project.

Beauty! i hear the 28n is a barrel burner though.... don't know how much you shoot it but.... have been considering converting my 7mag to 28n during next rebarrel but still researching the burn rates...

they are a killer stock York! And they aren't 6 months out like Manners and McMillan.

Oh and killer build man! You will not be disappointed! Barrels are meant to be burned up and replaced so get to shooting!

Wow that lone peak really keeps the weight down. Like that stock too!
My HCA barrel likes Retumbo - was getting es of 4 to 5 in groups this morning as long as jump was over .030.
-
I like it............
-
Way cool setup. Now go get some blood on it!

I had a very similar rifle built. Started getting pierced primers. Miss fires. Checked out the firing pin. When cocked it goes all the way back into bolt and when fired it catches the firing pin hole on exit. This caused the firing pin to become filed to a 45 degree angle and cause issues. Got a bushing installed inside the bolt to hold the firing pin centered and all is well. Keep an eye on it.

Took a lotta shooting and testing powders, loads and seating depth but ended up back where I started just better loading and shooting technique and now have my HCA carbon shooting 2" groups at 500 yards. Gotta sort and measure actual distance to lands with those SMK bullets every batch or it will drive you crazy with the big variances even in the same box.

Got new glass on it finally!

Sweet ride.

Nice looking setup and an excellent choice on optics. I don't think you can never go wrong with a NightForce. Just bought another one couple days ago.

Finally had time to finish stock, Seattle Hydrographing did a great job. And it shoots pretty good too!
-
Sweet rifle!
-
That's a solid & great looking setup ! Prob still not over 10# with the NF.
-
