Title: Did u know this about trail cams?
Post by: Eric M on July 19, 2018, 06:45:24 PM: So I was talking to this computer genius type today and he tells me a way that people can find your trail cameras easily even at night. Before I post how they do it, do you guys think it's a good idea to post the how they do it or could it do more harm then good?

Post by: Eric M on July 19, 2018, 07:15:42 PM: Night vision is one way, but they can just turn on their phone camera and it will pick up the purple light. He showed me with a remote.so they just walk around and find good spots with their camera on and find your camera.

Handy tip if you ever send a buddy to find your camera, if he can get close enough this would help him out.

I love being able to test the batteries in the TV remote using my cell phone camera. Heaven knows when I have burrowed into the couch I do not want to walk across the house for batteries unless I know they are dead :chuckle:

Knowing this would have come in handy a few times in the past couple years for me. :chuckle:

I just look through the phone camera at the remote where the signal/light is displayed. Push buttons and you will see it light up. I use it to see if batteries are dead and also to see if a single button is dead.
