So, I have a place that I plan on hunting on opening day. I am just warning ya'll, I call this place and you better not go. :chuckle:
Who else is going out Wednesday?
-
I am gonna do a quick evening hunt around Tahuya on opener but then I have to work for a week. After that I'm doing a solo 5 day backcountry out in the Olympics (maybe 4 if I run out of gummy bears).
Good luck fellow Kitsap-er

I know where I'm going Wednesday, but I would like to respect your "call" so to make sure I'm not in your spot can you tell me where it is? :chuckle:
-
Oh man! Lots of pressure on poor old Tahuya, I am going to hunt bear Thursday out that way, can't imagine there are more than one or two bears in Tahuya. Waiting that extra day for the expected cooler weather. Seriously, it's nice to see so many Kitsap/Mason hunters getting out and doing it!

We will be out Wednesday and Thursday screaming in the 633 as long as Green Diamond doesn't closes their land.
-
I am starting to worry a bit about closures also.
-
Good luck everyone. Is it Wednesday yet?
-
I'll be out Wednesday as well. Very much looking forward to it.

GOOD LUCK!

Good luck everybody! Can't wait to start seeing photos and hearing stories.
My August is stupid-busy, but I'll be joining the bear-hunting ranks in September so for now I have to live vicariously through you guys.

Green Diamond closed their land last Friday. According to Mason County website. Confirmed it on Green Diamond website.

Thanks for posting, kind of a bummer but expected.

So, DNR land is still open. I am guessing the other timber companies will close land soon. Changes my hunting plans for the week. Will still try to get out somewhere, assuming there aren't more closures.
-
Good luck guys and gals... will likely miss the opener but I’m there in spirit.

No opening day bear for me. But, I got lots of exercise and saw some beautiful scenery.

I leave for college the 18th, so I'm putting all my efforts into getting a bear with my bow these two weeks since I'm missing all of September deer and all of elk season. I've been staying on the 627 side of things but have been trying lots of new spots. Got distracted by a coyote on the opener and shot him at 15 yards instead :chuckle:
