For Father’s Day my girl friend dig out one of my bear skulls from the freezer and had it euro’ed with out me noticing. Bear wasn’t big (14.5”) but it was taken with my brother. Packed out solo cause my brothers pack was full. He did end up packing the hide the last half.
Was only a tad over a mile back to camp but also over 1000 ft down.
Bear was special to me

Been getting more and more hunters every year up there. Last year a group of young guys up there shooting at everything that moved it seemed. Hope they do a little more long range practice this year if they plan to hunt it again. Lol. Pretty frustrating to have some one shoot at every bear you spot and then shoot over the top and spook it out of sight. From what I seen they wounded one but no recovery

Awesome gift! I came home a few weeks ago to the skull of my first bear being used as a chew toy by my dog :'(

Memories of a lifetime, Jasnt that is so sweet. Isn't that the bear you killed last fall? I can't wait for September!
