How long does it last if the kid is screwed on tight? I imagine a long time.  No?

Huge issue is major temperature swings.  I have used smokeless powder that has been opened but stored properly that was well over 20yrs old with no difference in performance.  Black Powder seems more prone to moisture....but if sealed and stored properly todays powder would be useable indefinitely.
