Anybody have a place to get a good deal on an outdoor canopy set up? I have a 16x20 wall tent and was looking for a canopy maybe 10x10 or so that we can set up in front of the door to have a place to sit, hang out etc.

I'd recommend an EZ-UP sports canopy. They pop up on sale frequently
You can get repair parts/legs online

Walmart.
Or what I have done in the past is use a tarp. Cover part of the tent, tie off and have as much as you want to be a porch. With the right size tarp you can have sides going all the way to the ground and out as much as you need. One center pole and some rope to tie off the ends to secure it.

Considered that and have done the same but figured it would be nice to have free standing option in case we need it too. Might have to go to Wally World even though I can't stand going in there

For elk camp we just got a 10/10 easy up canopy with walls and a zippered door. Mostly used as our cook shack. On nice days you could easily remove the walls, or roll them up for open, covered space. Worked out real well. When weather was coming, we had a tarp big enough to cover it as well as the wall tent.
Can you get extension brackets and a frame for your tent out the front end to give you the open space you want ? Be like a covered patio.
My brother got ours online and had it drop-shipped to my place. Supposedly saved a bunch but I don't know.

Maybe you can avoid Walmart.
Big 5 has this add going https://www.big5sportinggoods.com/store/ways+to+save/Weekly+Ad

Just remember to get a straight leg canopy for the full 10' coverage. a 10x10 Slant leg is 8X8 at the top if I remember correctly.

Nice and we do have one of those in town. Might have to go scoop it up

For that price it would be worth a try. Not sure how that brand stacks up against the EZ-up but at least it has the Z in it ;)
They are handy around the yard for inclement weather and gatherings as well. Store in pretty small footprint.

Had one that I used in combination with my 9x12 tent as well as in the yard. lasted for years till the wind got it.

That was my thought. Good for other uses as well.

Do not buy a cheap popup, they will fail after a couple uses at the worst time!
I have been using popups as a camp cook shack for 20 years. I have never had a cheap one last.
I have a Quick Shade Summit 10 x 10 with a vented roof (keeps it from taking of in the wind) I have been using for the eight years. It works great. It has a Bug mesh that completely wraps it, keeps wasps and flies out as well.

I have thought about one with a net as well. I hate flies and if we are butchering up meat, which I hope we get to do, the bees can be terrible!

Bought a great one from Costco, I believe it's a 13x13? Might be Coleman brand if I can remember correctly? Super easy to set up and tear down, and the canopy extends about a foot and a half past the legs all around. It's a great canopy and it wasn't too bad of a price either, not sure if Costco still sells them or not.

Big 5 discounts thiers this time of year check them, I got a killer 12x12 from them a year ago.
And I used it it deer camp.😉

Keep in mind - Walmart went the same route as Dick's as far as going against our 2nd amendment rights.
I was never a supporter of them before but now I will never buy from them ever again.
Please try another vender and avoid supporting those who undermine our rights.

I have used them as Alchase said for many years, they are great for cooking.

It works great, I still get a couple stragglers who figure out a way in that I have to wack with the swatter, LOL.
Well worth the cost I paid for it, $12.00 if I remember correctly.
