I’m a bit of a pack nut, one of my packs is the icon pro 7200. I was looking at the meat hauler and wondering if it’s worth buying? The bag is already confusing to me, I think the bag separates from the frame to haul meat already, but is it better to use the hauler? I’m almost sure you use the hauler without the bag attached, but most times I’m hunting the bag is going w me. Thoughts??

I had the icon 3000 and yes the bag separates from the frame already and imo I don't see the need for the hauler seems like just another way to grab your money from you.
Your set up will work just fine

The load hauler isn't really necessary for normal hunting purposes.
I've used the load hauler with my Kuiu Ultra frame. I use it for when on extended backpack hunt trips with a group, sometimes we'll haul up a soft sided Yeti cooler full of frozen brats/burgers/etc. and the load hauler is nice to haul that odd shaped item in.

Thanks, I almost feel I need to take a college course on these packs, so many dang straps! I've never even separated the bag from the frame yet to see how that works. Hopefully I'll figure that out before my Wyoming elk hunt.

:chuckle:
Yeah I was a bit confused at first but if you have the paperwork it explains it pretty good.
It still took me sometime to figure it out tho lol

Paper work, instructions??? That’s probably the first thing I threw away!! 😁

😂
Well like Tim the toolman Taylor always said those are only the manufacturer opinion of how it should be done lol.
They do have some you tube videos that can help
-
I found the video for you but I'm not sure how to post it.I shared it to my self but can't get it to here😂
-
Dang, I emailed kuiu for that video because I couldn’t find it.
-
I understand if you don't want to but if you want to pm me your cell number I would be able to forward it to you
-
Ok, thanks
-
I have one, never used it though... so I finagled it onto a pack frame of mine and hope to use it like that some day.

that was my 2nd choice, very tough to pass up

Totally agree and relate with you on all the straps, confusing as heck. Still not sure if it is put back together as intended.

I would be grateful if I could get that video too. I’ve seached and watched a bunch of different ones but haven’t found any that really focus on how to adjust all the straps most effectively. As for paperwork, I bought mine from a fellow HuntWa member...
Pm sent

I picked up the icon fram with a ultra 5500 bag. its just what the Dr orderd. Coming from a blacks creek pack. its a little tough to figure out at first with all the straps and clips. but the bag does seperate from the frame. Iv had over 80lbs in mine in load sling configuration. Works great. I know some guys think that kuiu is garbage and are sold on kifiru, exo and sg but im only 5'4" so im not carrying 2-300 lbs :bdid: ever so no need for a 1000$ pack for me.
