Post by: Machias on March 18, 2009, 08:10:53 AM: It's a sad state of affairs. We will loose another opportunity this year with the loss of coyote hunting with dogs, to include decoying. Only thing left for the average guy is coons and I suspect eventually that will be taken away as well either through the loss of the season or just no place left to run a dog. Best thing for a WA houndsmen to do it get lucky and get an Idaho permit or go down and run bobcats in OR. :'( It's really not worth spending thousands of dollars getting equipment and dogs to run coon for a few weeks a year, with the chance to be draw every few years to chase longtails.

Let me tell you if the hunter produces they pay well!! >:(The only way to reverse I-655 is to have everyone stop hunting for the state and timber companies and we would see our rights returned. This is the only way we will ever see Bear and Cougar hunting in Washington state again. My monthly fuel bill is high just to keep my dogs in shape for 10 days guiding in Montana and about 15-20 days in Idaho.
