Any recommendations on a good but inexpensive backup headlamp? I would like to scoop another up so I can have one for around camp and one to stay in the pack. I have been known to forget things in the morning... :o

Shoot for a backup I just have one of those one's from Lowe's that comes with three batteries for like $10 Plenty bright.
@coop2424 knows that I don't always carry a backup though. Good thing he does :chuckle:

I have been using the Lowes LED cheapees for years, I have two in my pack, they have performed just fine.

I have also been known to drop lamps out of pack when duck hunting so maybe a 2 or 3 pack is up my alley. :chuckle:

Not sure if there is one near you, but I just picked up a backup Coleman headlamp at BiMart for $13 this past week (the wife "borrowed" my regular backup). It works well, and is a good deal for a backup headlamp.
I've had the wires pull out of my primary headlamp in the woods before when snagged, and was not able to repair it. So I always keep a small cheap backup just in case.

Just bought a Black diamond storm at REI for $40 and it has 350 lumens and is super bright.

I have two princeton tec's that I carry in my pack. One is a remix, not sure of the other one, but both work fine and were around 25$
