If you could choose 1 week to hunt Blacktail on the West slopes of the Cascades in October or November and the general season dates weren't a factor then what week would you choose? I would probably say November 3rd-10th.

November 7-11 I've seen some masher blacktail over the years, but nov1-11 if I had to pick a week and acouple days
-
Great answer Skook. I agree with 7 - 11, or 6 -12 to fill out the week.

...however, if I had been able to see vitals on the gorgeous three point I caught watching me from 30 yards this morning, I might be voting for 16 September. :'(

My two best bt were shot on October 28th. My brothers two best were on Halloween. That time period seems to produce for us.

Whatever the date is that is the first week of rifle elk season......they seem to know :IBCOOL:

Thread winner right here!

Consensus here seems to be the first couple days of November. I've heard alot of guys also say November 11 as the peak.
