I have always had a pass for jblm but never hunted there, is it any good for deer or elk?
-
I drive from rainier to Olympia thru Jblm. Have seen some whoppers.
-
I lived about a mile away from the Roy side great deer in there and bear too.

Some mashers in there, I used to deliver to the commissary, and always would see nice bucks. Biggest BT I've ever seen was running along the reservation fence on Pacific Ave in Spanaway trying to find a way back in.

Yes but the rules a pretty strict about where you can hunt, when, and the firearm you can use.

YES it is!
-
I don't know this for a fact, but I think: deer - yes. Elk - No. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong .
-
I have seen a handful of elk running around in there but wouldn’t say it’s “good” for elk.
-
There are a few elk. Tough to pattern.
-
No deer, no elk, nothing to hunt here...... move on......

I'll be darned. I never would have guessed. (Note to self: Both JBLM and 530 have just a handful of elk.)

Good hunting out by Rainier area 23 20 . The base was great years ago but now we see more coyotes then anything, People walking dogs, horse riders and people dumping trash on every dead end road. I would go east it’s a huge pain in the ass to get registered just to see all the unregistered people doing whatever there doing.
