Well for what ever reason I recently discovered that my rifle has aquired a lineal crack from the rear of the action downwards to about center of the stock and about 3/4 the length towards the fore end. I’ve searched high and low locally for someone with the knowledge of stock fabrication. Also come up with zero options on aftermarket stocks. It’s is a Savage 112LM in 338 Lapua. The rifle has been refitted with a 30” semi bull Proof Research barrel. I’d like to lighten it up some if possible as the Terminator T4 break has made shooting this rifle comparable to a 308. Any help or insight towards a stock builder or other leads to any aftermarket options would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Might try calling Northland Shooters Supply. James specializes in all things Savage. I don’t believe he builds stocks but he may have ideas on aftermarket options for the 112 action.

A Savage long action with a Proof barrel is going to be impossible to find an aftermarket stock for unless you go custom. I think the magnum target came with a laminated wood stock? You could reach out to this guy - I've got no experience with him, but came across his contact info in another group and saved it in case I ever needed stock work done.
