Nice!! (Did you shoot him in the butt?)

Haha that’s what I figured. Looks like it got the job done!

"Right place, right time, good buddies" Sounds like a perfect way to make some awesome memories!!! Well done :IBCOOL:
-
Right on, great Billy!
-
Second picture is of me looking back at where he spent his last hours. Everything came together perfectly.
-
Get any good responses from any city slickers while hiking back to the rig?
-
Looks like a good one! Thanks for sharing
-
Outstanding, congrats on a great goat.
-
Congrats on the oil :IBCOOL: Looks like a great time.
-
Awsome. Thanks for posting pics in such a timely manner.
What type of mount are you doing?
-
Something like this :)
-
I like both. Maybe the second one a little more.

I agree and maybe add a little snow/ice onto the rock.
-
Well done.
And you did not even make us wait for pictures!
-
Congrats on a nice Billy! Which oil goat tag did you have?
-
Right on!!! Congrats
-
Congrats Scott! Real happy for you.
-
Nicely done, memories for a life time.👍
-
Awesome goat! Goats seem to offer a lot of quartering shots. My brothers bullet entered in the hind quarter and came out on the opposite side in the neck. Dropped dead instantly
-
Awesome goat !! I have always been amazed at the size of those things, they are sure a damn site bigger than my pigmy goats I had :chuckle: do you guys that get these tags pack the meat out? I ain’t a fan of goat meat so I would have to find someone who would want it !!
-
It’s illegal not to pack out the meat
-
Congrats

I did, and I know Scott did. Pretty sure it's illegal not to. It's pretty tasty too. Not too far from deer meat.

Nice work frick

Congrats Scott on a nice Billy. You get that Sunday morning. Was he running by himself?

Congrats!

Awesome and congrats!!

Awesome!
-
That's an awesome Billy! Congratulations! He has a great looking coat of fur for the mount too. That would probably be most important to me over score or book status. I would have the entire hide tanned!
-
You should have the blood spot on the mount.
Congrats.
I love the country these things call home.
-
I heard you guys had a great hunt. Congrats!
-
Nice!

Congrats Scott, your dad would be very proud! Very nice goat!!!
-
I went with the second one and even asked if he could add snow and ice to the rock. Man I can’t wait to get it back next year. Already looking at the wall thinking of where I could put it :chuckle:
-
Man that’s gonna be a sweet mount.

Yes he was all alone. Just chilling on a rock slide. And for the other questions yes we did pack the meat out. I had 2 great friends along with me that packed the meat while I packed the head and hide. Never had goat, looking forward to trying it.

Be careful with the snow and ice back ground it will turn yellow on you in a couple year it almost impossible to keep clean and white :(

I wish he could of been here to celebrate it with
Me. I guess I’ll have stories to tell him when I see him again.

The taxi I took it too today said he makes it so it can be washed and cleaned/ dusted so that doesn’t happen.

What’s the story of the tape 9-9+ inches?
-
I'm not a goat guy but my first thought was right around 9. 8.5-9.5 is really tough to tell in my opinion.
The hair looks great to me and I think that is really what makes goats cool.
No matter what the score, I do know it is bigger and cooler than any goat on my wall.
-
Congratulations! Beautiful goat

My guess is off the gap above the goats head on the pack, I have the same pack so i measured it and added some for the curve and what below the hair line.
Score doesn’t matter, it’s the hunt, and the terrain those things call home, love that country.👍

What’s the story of the tape 9-9+ inches?
Left horn I believe was 8 1/2 and the other was 8 7/8. That’s if we did it right. He’s at the taxi now so who knows :chuckle: I’m very very happy with him.

Make sure you don’t ever lose that photo. I have an old photo when I was two or three standinding with my grandpa over a spike elk. He is gone but I have that photo and those antlers. Priceless.

Funny thing is my sister wanted to take this picture to hang above his crib/ bedroom. Hopefully it’ll be around for a very very long time.

Beautiful goat, congrats
-
Thank you everyone. I’m extremely pleased with the goat I was able to harvest. It was a very fun hunt and one I’ll never forget.
-
Congrats! I loved the flavor of my goat, great burgers. It was tough meat so I ground the whole, backstraps and all.
-
Great goat!

Great story...........
