Just picked up my bear yesterday from Kiernan Hull at Oregon Taxidermy. First time bringing an animal to her, and I am extremely impressed with her work. After about 20 hours of research trying to pick a taxidermist and about the same amount of time spent trying to decide on a form and pose (I am indecisive, as well as particular about taxidermy), I'm glad I went with her. Nothing against some of the taxidermists/forum members that were recommended to me earlier this year - just really liked what I saw of Oregon Taxidermy's work. Skull should be done soon too. Pictures don't do justice to the size of the bear mount.
My penthouse man cave to-be just got quite a bit smaller. Couldn't wait to get my mounts up and look at them...so I'll have to pull them down again when I finish the walls and refinish the floors. With hunting season in full swing, it'll be a while before I get back to the house projects. :chuckle:

I’m not a big fan of bear mounts (prefer rugs) but that is flat awesome. Love the blocky head on that bad boy as well

Thanks, everyone!

Turn-around time for this mount was only 8 months! Glad I didn't have to wait 4 or 5 years. Not sure why a bear, or a mount of any kind, would take that long? Unless the taxidermist is extremely booked up?
