you have gone into duck season before you realized you still had your turkey choke in the gun? :o
-
Yeah, the percentage of hits went down, but I was thinking man these new shells I'm trying this year really put em away when I do hit one.
I'm just glad it wasn't a safety issue, I don't know how many turkey chokes are capable of taking steel shot.

I will check my semi to make sure I took out the turkey choke. It's not my every day duck gun.
-
… Thanks for the reminder now I know why those grouse were so shot up.... I wish I could say this was my first, er… third... time.
-
I would imagine that Steel would be pretty hard on the barrel or choke... I dont own a turkey choke, so do they have a NO STEEL disclaimer on them?
-
Hopefully not to long. That could cost you a barrel.
-
I checked it out tonight, didn’t see any signs of damage and it screws in and out perfectly. It is an extended choke so that probably saves some pressure on the barrel.
