Already took my buck with the bow off the stand with all the grass.
Decatur Island

My target this weekend.
-
Nice, good luck!
-
@Tjv28
The body on that buck you posted, is HUGE!
-
I know... that sucker probably weighs 350lbs on the hoof. It makes his rack look small, but he’s probably a nice buck

You should have some very nice bucks there next year

Shot a big bodied (141 lbs at butcher) forkie on the 16th as it was the best and almost the only thing I had seen. Then go back yesterday to get my cams. Saw a beast of a buck trailing a doe and all the spikes and small 2 points that had been on my cams were not on there at all since the day I got my buck. All replaced by huge bodied 2x3s and a couple 3 points. Most of them were on camera within a moment or two after a doe had gone by.
-
Here is a photo of a nice 3X3 with eyeguards, a rare sight on Decatur. He was one of my target bucks but I ended up shooting my other target on a different stand before I had a chance to sit here. I know where he'll be next September though. 8)

-
some from the other day. :) date is wrong, just left it there for a week and checked it yesterday.
-
Nice late season pics. They should be shedding those bones soon.
-
Another month i say
-
Yeah, saw a buck tonight and he still had his forks.
-
I got this buck 125 yards behind my house the other night :)
-
Going up to grab a couple of cams this weekend. I should have a few pics to add to the thread.
-
Head shot
-
Sorry a couple are blurry - it was a zoomed in cellphone. This is my backyard blacktail buck, one of a few, but he's the biggest. I want to find those antlers so bad.

A couple from a recent trail camera soak (literally and figuratively).
The last one, the video, there are four deer in the frame, at least three of them bucks.

BC buck right there

A blacktail buck in the daylight!!
The funny thing is, I've spent a fair bit of time in that area, and I have yet to see a buck there in person, even off-season. But this last soak - the first time I've put up a trail camera there - has been encouraging enough that I'm going to spend more time trying...
-
That's a good buck for Woodinville
-
they're dropping bones :)two diffrent blackys I've got in the area

Woodinville has some bruisers

Nice shots guys! It goes to prove, there's trophies out there if you pass on the small boys. Thanks for posting!

They must really be damaging their trees around there. I guess I could help remove one from the property ;)

Take your pick. Haha. It feels wrong for me to shoot one from the back field.

Yeah I hear ya. My folks own a good chunk of land in bear prairie and I have never killed one of their pet deer. But..... if that 4x4 came through that you posted, it would be all over haha

little guy

I checked my trail camera yesterday, and this guy had been through the day before. If you look close, you can also see a small herd milling about in the background.

May '19 bucks
-
another one
-
Caught this guy on a late night visit to the apple trees. I'm pretty sure that he is the same buck that I posted in Nov- Dec 2017 (2016?), back when he was a fawn who's buttons got hard horned in late fall with two small spikes on his right side. He spent many mornings bedded under the apple trees until the food and leaves were all gone. He was the only double main beam beam buck I've ever had on cam, and he never showed himself since. I'm wondering if this is one of those rare occasions when a buck makes an excursion back "home", perhaps to see mom, after disbursing to a different area/territory. If so, I'd be surprised if he shows up again this year.
Pretty cool looking dude now. 4 X 2 from what I can tell. He might be a monster in a few more years.
-
Buck that identifies as a doe? Looks like a doe but hangs out with the bucks and it looks like he/she has some danglies.
-
here's another one.
-
Been a little while since having a tcam out in blacktail country but here are my last Cascade blacktails I was after.
-
Muley X Blacktail = Wow! Stud bucks! Absolutely awesome!
-
This guy has been hanging around.
-
Cool four-point. I'm always amazed at the variability in antler size of mature bucks.
-
This dude's been hanging around. Two captures in one week. I tried moving camera angles in case he came back, and he went the other way. He doesn't seem to care at all about apples. He walks right by the trees like he's just surveying the territory. Seems to be a lot of bucks showing themselves this year. It will be interesting to see if they disappear in a week or so, after the velvet comes off. (edit - now that I look at the pics from two different dates side by side, I'm not 100% sure that is the same buck).
-
a little salad.
-
First set of the camera on the property this year, Dates & times are correct.
-
-
-
Going through all the pics from that set I was able to identify 5 different bucks for sure. Mix of velvet and hard horned.
-
more.... Better looks at a couple of the more interesting bucks hanging around. The double main beam buck didn't change at all in the last six weeks. 2.25 y/o max.
-
...
I realize I'm referring to an old post here, but Salt n Sage what model of Bushnell is that? That has got to be one of the clearest, most crisp nighttime photos I've seen!
-
Posted a couple of these on my earlier thread. Kinda cheating, but technically he can wander east from the photo location about 400 more yards until he becomes a mule deer. So it's all good. :chuckle:
-
My good friend got this pic this week on the Olympic Peninsula. 4x2 Blacktail with eye guards. No bench leg here. 100% Blacktail.
-
Tree farmer, is that the lake crescent buck? He's a stud for sure, heard he was tapped by a car some months back. Wonder if that's what caused the narrow 2 pt side???
-
Pretty massive bases on that dude. Probably will be only 2/3rds of that girth once the velvet is gone but still a nice buck.
-
Horse body buck
-
Horse body buck
shooter forky for sure
-
That is a horse.
-
Good luck packin' that pig out! Nice find opdinkslayer.
-
Between Aug 26 and today (Sept 5) had the most activity ever on camera, 730 deer pictures in the orchard.
Including catching a little sparring going on, then back to the business at hand...apples!! :EAT:
-
Good luck packin' that pig out! Nice find opdinkslayer.
:chuckle: the most amazing part is he is still in the summer red in that pic. We have his matching sheds from 2 years prior & he is regressing slowly to a giant 2 pt.
-
I'm always a little disappointed after they shed velvet. He's still a nice young buck with lots of potential, but I'm an instant gratification kind of guy. Waiting 3 or 4 years to see what he becomes seems a bit tiring. :chuckle:
Lastly, caught a couple youngsters a couple days ago still exhibiting their trust in humans and neighborhood dogs. One last hit on the apples in broad daylight.
-
The smallest of 3 that we've been getting on camera. I haven't figured out how to down load videos. We just switched our cameras to picture mode. We know where we'll be the last 3 days of Oct.
-
The forbidden buck
-
Placed a camera in a new area and got these two on here after a two week soak, there’s also a spike in the area, he walked up on me 10 yards away after I check this camera and sat on a stump, but passed on him since he was about the size of my dog. Have another camera about 600 yards away that has 3 other deer on it also

A few bucks
-
man these got me going... thanks for sharing. can't wait to get out soon for some scouting and dreaming
-
Nice bucks in those last pics.
I've been striking out all Spring and early Summer with my cams. Lots of deer coming and going, but dead batteries and other issues left me without any good pics. Caught a decent 4X4 in silhouette, but the only shot I have of that one doesn't do the deer justice.
Here's a just a hint of a backyard buck sporting this rack from a couple of days ago. He was just outside of frame for 20 seconds, then disappeared.
Hoping to see more of this camera shy buck in the future:
-
Here's a costal blackie
-
Whidbey Island Blacktail.
Gary
-
A couple better shots of the 5 point. Five on the left side, four on the left, though one of those looks like a sticker. Interesting deer but not much of a trophy this year. Next year......?
-
BTW - Tootall and Gasoline: Superb bucks!
-
Last one on this guy: Turns out he's a pretty good buck - 5 x 4, decent spread, nice long main beams, good eyeguards..... (BTW- Browning Trailcams suck!)
-
-
more blacktails

!
-
Not the best pictures.

Few shots of the small mule deer...um I mean blacktail in my little brother's neighborhood in Lakewood :chuckle: he almost never gets the same buck twice on his trail cam in the backyard but every year he gets something funky on cam.
PS that small mule deer thing was a joke. I don't need 18 PM's from you overly sensitive BT guys who obviously have some size issues you're dealing with 😁
Just kjdding......but seriously :chuckle:

Couple from this years rut.
