Well let’s here it.🤔
I think stinky tails will win this year, less predators over here.
-
Seems like it. Looking at the post em here thread it seems a large portion of the non black tails (which already seems like there’s most of) aren’t from WA. Interesting
-
Yea. Think the blacktail should take 2018 :chuckle:
-
Muley for me
-
Blackies in the led.🤔
-
BT for me. My wife will get one in the late season. Hopefully that counts.
-
Last day forky blacktail for me
-
Come on west siders, beat those easterners :tung:
-
Where's the tag soup option? :dunno:
Maybe I'll get out for late archery.
-
Mule deer just like every year
-
Rarely kill a deer in my home state but got lucky with a muzzy muley!
-
I got a muley doe and a blacktail buck so kinda cancels out my vote.
-
Tag soup for me, again.
-
:sry: :sry: :sry: :sry:I am sorry. I saw somewhere where they was asking; what you eating this winter? and I was thinking to reply to them not to write it here. my bad, but, it's the true, unless I get one in late season... :bdid: :bash:
-
Archery Button buck blacktail first morning out! Not a bad haul when I add it to the road side salvage tags I've got.

I know this poll is just for huntwashington members .
But if you look at deer harvest reports there is twice the amount of deer harvested on the dry side of the state then the wet side. For 2017
East side Harvest district 1-9
18,041
Wet side Harvest district 10-17
8,424

Mule deer chelan Co. opening day

I think most East siders don’t post a lot of kills/pictures for a reason.. ;)
-
Whitetail for me
-

:yeah: And there are no legal bucks on this side anyways, hehe ;) Just two points and spikes running around
-
Right now I'm eating the antelope I shot in September, but I have a Palouse whitetail buck tag coming up, so i voted whitetail.
-
I think the harvest numbers would show 2 different motivations about hunting. Folks that hint the east side do it for the weeks worth of camping. Better weather, even if cold, and kind of the family communal trip that everyone makes.
West side... whack a deer for the meat. Dont really have to go anywhere just go out for the day.
The fact is that 90% of the game is killed by 10% of the hunters. This is an amazing stat that is the same no matter the hunting discipline.

kind of sad we have succumb to polls to get excited about hunting when it used to be pics of nice bucks and stories. :dunno:
-
I accidentally shot a muley on the high hunt after 15 years straight of tagging blacktails. Combination of cats and massive amounts of hunters has our blacktail numbers painfully low

I have done this poll for quite a few years just to see the numbers on the forum, it’s not about excitement.😉

:yeah:
I used to tag out on the logging road less than a mile from my house, now your lucky to see a deer off it.
Lots of predators though, cats, wolves, and bears.😤
-
Seen more coyotes this year then ever before and tons of lions around

Even after logging was basically non-existent on the local NF lands, I'd see at least ten deer each trip. Now maybe only see two or three and usually after dark. Have to go all the way to tree farms or high country for more deer. At the time it was heavily blamed on hair-loss disease. But interesting is if you go from the woods to the part of town without predators (cats), there are quite a few deer--and they went through hair loss too.

Its not worth it to me anymore. I can hunt every evening and weekend and hope to see a two point, or spend 7 days out of state and pick the buck I want
-
Blacktail for me. Clean the coyotes up, see lots of bucks.
-
Mulie for me
Great buck kodiak! And awesome photo, I've got a blacktail on my bucket list

Roadkill Blacktail.
-
Roadkill Blacktail.
That doesn’t count.🤣 Unless you ran it over, and tagged it with your deer tag.😉

Which is illegal i might add. as some one whom has picked up several road kill there is zero reason to tag with your hunting tag. :twocents:

The amazing thing is that you get to keep the horns so there isnt really any reason not to suck up the meat, which is great, and do a euro on the horns.
