This deer stood up in front of me at about 30 yards. I think my heart stopped. I snapped a couple quickies as he darted away. Thankfully we got back on him for about 45 minutes. I couldn't get enough shots of him. He may be this years cover buck.

Holy cow!
Washington buck?
-
I am really enjoying all the looks at this guy!
-
I cant imagine anyone beating him out as the cover and I already have a reserved photo for inside the Cal. November is young yet though.
-
He might be worthy of 2 months, if you got a couple great pics.
-
I don't know, he isn't all that tall though :chuckle:
Awesome buck! Would love to see more pics of him

How do you get these close shots of monster bucks every year, that 90% of people don’t even see once in their lifetime? It’s crazy
-
What a unique buck!

I’d guess Utah

I’d guess Utah

Can’t wait to see what images you pick for your calendar

That buck is dead.

He was alive this morning. I heard another photographer got on him.

Bone....is there a code among you and yours.....those that track, follow, and learn as you photograph these bucks? Meaning that it's unspoken.....or spoken....that these are no shoot animals. Not a single one of us other than yourself would pass on a the chance to send a live round. You mention other photographers and there must be hunters among yet these animals live year after year. You clearly have passion same as orhers that hunt....you however shoot the same bucks and critters year after year. Anyway....keep em coming as these are dream deer for most if not all and you keep us reminded that they are out there.
-
Strange that for some reason I can no longer see pics from Boneaddict. Any ideas?? The pic shows up for a split second then is gone.
-
Work or home? My workplace blocks photobucket.
Also, I have to refresh sometimes to get the pic to load.
-
How wide is he? I’m guessing 31”

Big bucks or big buck areas get a reputation. Most of us are like minded. We are competitive, but friendly. We share a lot. A couple of my friends have been looking for this buck but haven’t connected. They finally did. Right now most of my photography friends are in Colorado at RMA. Some are members here. I’ve never been there, but I’ve sure the heck thought about it. I told the Mrs to check flights today. Lol. Tomorrow I’m going to a local area that I keep to myself. Looking for a good ole Wa trophy.
