Post by: weasel on March 20, 2009, 10:50:30 PM
i have a sendero with a laminated stock and want to replace the recoil pad with a kick eez or limbsaver, i am having a heck of a time getting the old one off. yes i took the screws out but it seems to be glued on really good. any tips on removing it? short of destroying the stock and pad. thanks for any help.

Maybe warm it up with a hairdryer.  See if that will soften the epoxy.

Warm it up real good, then taking a SMALL hammer, tap on the pad edge, all the way around, like getting a stuck lid off a jar, it should start to seperate.  Never knew factory pads to be glued to well.
