Title: Sons first deer tail mount ideas?
Post by: Higgi44 on November 12, 2018, 10:49:31 AM: My 9 year old son shot his first deer whitetail doe. My buddy has his first deer tail tanned on a plaque. I called a couple places on the west side and they don’t do such a thing. Anyone have an idea who does or if I should attempt doing it in my own?

How has the hair held up on your hide? I wanted to get mine done this year because it was a big buck I headshot so the hide was cherry but a friend said the hair breaks and makes a mess in short order. I would be bummed if that wasn't true.
