Can someone provide me with the rules in Idaho as far as carrying a pistol while hiking and /or open carrying a pistol while hiking. I'm going along with another Hunter this weekend who will be bowhunting and I will not be hunting but I'm curious if I'm allowed to carry my glock even though I don't have any kind of permit for Idaho. Also, whats the rules for concealed carry while not recreating.

Your Washington CWP works for Idaho.

We dont have concealed weapons laws in idaho so your good to go.

As stated above Idaho is a right to carry state. No permit needed for open or concealed carry. One of a few states that have gone that route.

I think you have to be a resident of Idaho for above to apply. :dunno:
Idaho permits the open carrying of firearms. Effective July 1, 2016, state law allows any Idaho resident to carry a concealed handgun without a license to carry, provided the person is over 21 years old and not disqualified from being issued a license to carry concealed weapons under state law.

After reading it further looks like it allows non residents to carry also.
I think you are good to go.

Thanks guys. It looks like as a nonresident over 21 I'm allowed to open carry without any license and having my concealed permit from Washington allows me to conceal as well.
