Well if that's the case, if there is anyone who traps Pierce county area, I have a friend who's family that runs Bill's Boat House on American lake and they would like to get rid of the otters, they area a problem.
He will give permission to set traps on the boat house property to the right person.
They don't want anything, but them gone, and hiring a nuisances trapper is not in the budget again.
He was telling me about the issue they are having, and I asked him if he would like me post up for any interested party, and he said yes.
So if anyone is interested, send me a PM and I will get you in touch with him.

Aren't these a water animal? During late buck we saw a set of 3 of them wandering down a logging road with no major water near by. :dunno:

Are you sure they weren't fishers?

Normally yes but I have seen them a long way from water at times. Back when my Dad and I had hounds we chased them several times. I have seen on a number of occasions where they would go over the ridge from one drainage to a next, sometimes a very high ridge.
There used to be a crazy good crossover I trapped where the otter crossed between the Wishkah and the Wynoochee.
I've also seen them sledding through puddles in ditches a long way from major water so when you say you saw some a long way from major water it does not surprise me.
