Bought a old Nikon D70 and some lens including a 300mm to try getting some pictures of coyotes but took it for a hike yesterday to see what I could do with it and ended up crawling between some bucks and does and the Rut is still going on down here!

Last 2. I took over 300 and only a handful turned out. Still a lot to learn on how to take proper pictures!

I just read your pm, I’ll get back to you at coffee break. That’s a great start! I’m glad you got into them and had your camera. Thanks for posting up the photos for all of us. Nice job!

That's how it starts. Next thing you know, all your free time is spent out in the bush and the only people you know are photographers. :chuckle: Nice work! Thanks for posting.

Yeah these were some nice deer! Not sure which unit or how Colorado goes about with the draw for deer and what not to be honest. I was pretty close to the city so I doubt it’s open for hunting even though it’s public. I think all the state land is actually closed. And then there’s state trust lands that are public but no access allowed. Then there’s the city or county land that’s also no hunting. So pretty much grassland, blm, or select forest service.
