anyone do any lathe work? i remember in wood shop in high school I made a couple things, I randomly stumbled on some youtube videos of wood turnign, peaked my interest, found out grandpa has a lathe and the tools that i can borrow to try it out again, Id like to see some projects or talk about wood turnign if anyone does it.

I turned some in school shop, still have a bowl I made, always thought when I got retired I would get a lathe and turn wood. Now here it is 65 years later and I been turning for about 7 years. It's lots of entertainment and interesting. When you put a piece of wood in the lathe you never know what it will turn out to look like.
I have been selling some stuff, just got through two bazaars, and this morning I'm taking 47 pieces to the Twisp Works emporium that will be on sale until Christmas.

awesome, what are you making selling? cups, bowls, lamps, spindles, etc? a little of everything?
