Anybody know how the ice is?
-
I'd guess no ice yet.
I'm hoping for hard water. There are perch that need skinned. :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
Current temps say 22 but that is big water and will take a few days.

Just got out on the ice today for the first time this year. It was on a small private pond and there was around 3.5 inches of ice so I am guessing that curlew isn't quite ready yet. Super excited to get up there though. Nothing better than walking out on a sheet of ice and pulling up panfish. Well I guess maybe hunting deer in high country meadows is better but ice fishing is a close 2nd.

Bonaparte on a couple inches Sat. and it's @3600 ft.

Enough for dinner last year.
There were folks making a drive and catching 400+ of them between 2 or 3 people. That seems like one chewed up thumb and it's not that far from the house.

Talked to the guy who drives the Rosewood colored Ford F-150 this morning said it was frozen on the edges. But says he wouldn't trust any of the stuff yet. Had been raining for the last couple of days.
That's all I got. :chuckle:

That's what I thought it has really warmed up.
